Global Dawah Project
We have launched the Global Dawah Project, a worldwide initiative dedicated to promoting the message of Islam through education and community engagement. The project's primary goal is to empower Muslims with the tools and knowledge necessary to share their faith respectfully and effectively. We're accomplishing this by developing and implementing various resources, including comprehensive training programs, to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and encourage peaceful dialogue with people from all backgrounds. This collaborative effort aims to cultivate a global community of knowledgeable and confident individuals who can represent Islam with wisdom and compassion.
Inaugural Session
The GDP team presented its inaugural introductory session at Bait-us-Salam Masjid on 25th January '25 as part of their Spend a Night at Baitussalam to an audience of more than 100 youth.
Maulana Owais walked the audience through the basics of Dawah and the virtues of doing it with wisdom. Participants were introduced to the HTII course modular framework that strives to accomplish this objective in a structured manner. As a result, participants are equipped with core methods that can help them effectively connect with non-Muslims in everyday life.
This initial event not only sparked deep reflection but also ignited a shared commitment among attendees to become purposeful ambassadors of Islam in their communities and beyond.
Learning Through Collaboration
At Global Dawah Project, we believe that learning from the experiences of others is essential for continuous improvement. In this spirit, our team actively engages with established organizations such as Street Dawah (Malaysia), with whom we have held multiple sessions to benefit from their valuable insights. Malaysia, being a vibrant tourist destination, offers unique opportunities for Dawah through interactions with people of diverse faiths and backgrounds. Our discussions have centered around effective training programs, addressing common misconceptions about Islam, and lessons learned throughout their Dawah journey—all of which contribute to strengthening our own approach and initiatives.
